Boundary Road, Hove, is my stomping ground but I am now calling it ‘Danger Road’.
The continual closing of Portslade Station level crossing gates is well-known for causing traffic congestion but the selfish drivers who park on double yellow lines and on bus stops just add to the problem.
I was recently nearly run over when a driver indicated to turn left but then didn’t – coming straight for me when I was crossing the road. The cyclist saga goes on too, with more than ever, it seems, tearing along pavements as if it’s their right.
The lovely sun we are enjoying seems to have affected these people’s brains. The most dangerous practise of all is the disregard of some drivers for the speed limit. They should be racing at Brands Hatch, not Boundary Road. As a pedestrian, I am considering buying myself a crash helmet.
