Two people are trapped in wreckage after a car crash on the A26 at Tarring Neville, near Newhaven today (July 14).
East Sussex Fire and Rescue were called to the scene at around 1.30pm after reports of two cars colliding.
Fire crews have already released one trapped casualty and are making "steady progress" in releasing the remaining two.
A spokesman from Sussex Police said the casualties have "serious injuries."
The road is currently closed in both directions from Beddingham roundabout to Newhaven.
