Move over Mick, Ronnie, Keith and Charlie.
The Railing Stains, one of the country’s best Rolling Stones cover bands, is gearing up for a dream performance at the Glastonbury Festival this weekend.
The Brighton-based veteran rockers have been jamming together across the globe for more than 15 years – including in front of an epic 60,000 crowd in Germany.
But Stains frontman Bob Ward, 60, said this weekend’s antics at the famous festival, which is headlined by their Rolling Stones heroes, could be one of the best yet.
He said: “We’re absolutely buzzing. What a gig. We’re going to turn up and rock out an incredible set and really live and breathe the experience.
“The fact the Stones are going to be there too is brilliant. We’re going to give it some attitude.
“We’ve played around the world and back home here in Brighton, including at the Pavilion Theatre and the Brighton Centre.
“We were also signed to produce the Rugby World Cup album in 2003. But this could come close. It’s a dream.”
The Stains will take to the stage in the Rabbit Hole arena for an hour on Saturday night at 9.45pm.
