Winnie-the-Pooh entered the digital world yesterday as the children's classics were published as interactive storybooks.

However, the publication caused controversy after many of the adventures from the Hundred Acre Wood were cut down.

The designers claim that the move was necessary due to the poor attention span of youngsters.

The classics, which were written by A.A. Milne at Cotchford Farm in Ashdown Forest, include iconic characters such as Piglet, Kanga and Eeyore.

The digital versions, which will be available to download as an app, are all modern interpretations of the original stories.

In one Pooh and Piglet visit The Shard and another they play Poohsticks on the Millennium Bridge.
