A betting firm wants to open a branch in a busy shopping street.
William Hill has applied to convert two units in St James’s Street, Brighton.
The former doctor’s surgery and Sussex Local Produce store are currently vacant.
Planning documents show that the firm wants to keep the front of the building the same apart from installing its new sign.
Brighton and Hove City Council expects to make a decision on the plans by mid-July.
