An eight-year-old from Sussex won a dream holiday to “Antarctica”.
Jacob Coughlan, of Heathfield, won the competition with children’s newspaper First News, which saw him and his family flown out to Orlando, Florida.
He was the first child in the world to be taken behind the scenes of Seaworld Orlando’s largest-ever expansion, Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin.
Jacob met the creators and discovered how the attraction was built.
Along with his mum, dad and baby sister Eloisa, Jacob was able to get up-close with turtles, killer whales and Puck the penguin.
Antarctica: Empire of the Penguin opens to the public on May 24, when guests will be able to see the majestic grandeur of the South Pole through the eyes of a penguin on a first-of-its-kind family ride.
