A horse and a cow needed help from firefighters last night (May 21).
Fire crews were called to help a cow which was stuck in a ditch in Westfield near Hastings.
The animal was spotted in Doleham Lane at about 7.40pm and it took crews from Hastings, Crowborough and specialist animal teams nearly two hours to rescue the cow.
Then at 12.10am a horse was discovered unable to stand in a barn in Brown Bread Road, Ashburnham.
The animal rescue teams were called out again to help the horse, along with fire crews from Ashburnham. They finished at about 2am.
