I have supported Brighton and Hove Albion for 75 years and worked for the club for 65 years, and still do with programmes and lotteries, and am very disappointed with the latest developments.
I can understand chairman Tony Bloom’s disappointment with manager Gus Poyet’s comments, which have been going on for months.
It was obvious he was not happy, so why let it finish this way, involving his assistant Mauricio Taricco and coach Charlie Oatway?
I can remember former chairman Mike Bamber being told how to run his club in the 1970s and 1980s, and it looks like the same scenario now.
Tony Bloom has done wonders for the Albion and should not be dictated to. He has put a lot of money into this club and, without his support, we would not be in the position we are.
Saying that, our thanks must go to Gus Poyet and his assistants for the way they have built the playing side to make us so feared in the Championship. I wish them all well in the future.

I am sad that Gus and his assistants have been suspended by the Albion.
Gus has worked very hard, done great things and created some super match performances. I hope he does not regret what he said last week to the media.
We had some really bad times during the horror days of Bill Archer.
It would be a terrible way to end a great era for the club.
