A free guided tour exploring the history of part of Brighton takes place on Saturday.
The event has been organised by the Community Service Volunteers’ Life Lines project in Brighton in partnership with the Tarner History Project.
It covers the Tarner area of Brighton, between Edward Street and Hanover, which is rich in social history and local colour.
The tour will be led by history project volunteer Richard Ince, who will cover a range of stories including ones about barrow boys and the massive slum clearance.
During the tour there will a break to enjoy homemade cakes and refreshments which will be served in Tarner Park.
The tour lasts one and a half hours and people are asked to meet at Tilbury Place at 1pm.
