A Pie shop has earned its crust.

Turners Pies in Bognor has scooped an award at the British Pie Awards, held in Melton Mowbray last month.

It was recognised for its top- quality steak and kidney pie – an award it also won in 2011. The firm fought off competition from 1,000 other entries from around the country.

Pip Turner, manager of the shop, said: “The key is to our pies is to only use the finest ingredients.

“Our pies are more special because the pastry is home- made and is top quality.”
