A man was treated for smoke inhalation following a kitchen fire in his flat.
The man, in his 50s, was treated after a grill fire broke out in the kitchen of his first floor flat in Tavistock Down, Brighton, at 7.45pm last night.
Firefighters attempts to tackle the blaze were hampered by a badly parked car in the narrow road which forced them to leave the fire engine and run the last 100m to the property.
Crews from Preston Circus Fire Station were at the scene for almost two hours dealing with the incident.
