Someone Else’s Shoes is an inventive and dynamic theatre piece. Trailblaze Theatre consists of three very strong character performers who have effortlessly woven a quirky tour into the streets around The Old Market. The audience is quickly split into three who follow different tours and narratives, kicked off with a splendid little audio track.

For anyone worried about the interactive nature of the performance – I felt that Trailblaze Theatre handled the audience expertly. I easily fell into the role they cast me in and enjoyed the playful possibilities of the experience.

I loved the way the show highlighted tiny details in a familiar location – strange dolphins perched on a statue were discovered later in the floor of a bandstand. I want Tour Elite to uncover many different places for me!

The piece then ended with a short snippet of the audio tour which eased the audience back into reality. I loved the audio so much I think there could be much more of it. I think a longer show could definitely be developed where each tour meets each character and the narratives weave in and out of each other, linked by the audio tour. Trailblaze Theatre had a very small audience of four tonight – everyone – GO GO GO! You won’t be disappointed; it’s utterly charming.
