May I just say well done to our refuse collectors in Brighton and Hove.

I think we have a very good service from them and having to accept a drop in their salary is completely wrong.

Would Jason Kitcat like to take a cut in his salary? I really do not think so, yet he expects others to. Would he like to do the job these people do? No, of course he would not.

We have a high cost of living in Brighton as it is. As our council tax was raised, why should we have to put up with this?

Well done again to our brilliant refuse collectors.

They made a stand, which is what more of us should do.

Keep up the good work and hopefully it will be goodbye to the Greens who are ruining our city.

Is it possible to know what our rubbish collectors earn a week in carrying out their job?

Whenever you drive past their depot at lunchtime they seem to be going home.

I’m often on the road by 7am and don’t usually see any binmen, or am I in the wrong area at the wrong time?

I personally think their job is a lot better than it was when I was a child, when they had to walk up and down stairs with a metal bin on their shoulder and took all your rubbish, even if you did have to palm their hands with a bit of silver.
