A man punched a car’s passenger window before trying to attack the terrified driver.
A 21-year old local man was threatened whilst sitting in his black Vauxhall Corsa car in stationary traffic at the Kettle of Fish roundabout in Winchelsea Road, Rye, at about 5pm on Friday May 10.
He was not hurt but was shaken by the incident, during which the man tried unsuccessfully to get into his car.
The suspect then started punching the passenger window of the vehicle and shouting violent threats. The man was able to drive off before anything else happened.
The suspect, who is described as white, aged 16 to 18 , 5'8',' of skinny build build and with cropped short brown hair, was wearing a grey hooded top and grey tracksuit bottoms.
PC Paul Fielder said; "Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call us on 101 quoting serial 1306 of 10/5. Alternatively, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
