Some of the most iconic road signs in the world are set to go under the hammer.
The likes of Downing Street, Abbey Road and Charing Cross are all up for auction at Billingshurst’s Summers Place Auctions after London authorities decide to upgrade their current signage.
Among the lots are hundreds of black fingerpost signs which have directed millions of tourists to sights such as the Royal Albert Hall, Regent’s Canal and Pimlico over the years.
But the most popular lots are expected to be the iconic London street signs which have appeared in everything from films and music video to album covers and posters.
The auction is being held on May 21.
