Motorists attempted to pick up by hand a spilt load of bricks from a country road.
Drivers went to the assistance of a lorry driver who lost a large number of bricks off his vehicle on the B2139 at Houghton, near Arundel, at 2pm today.
The load was too much to be handpicked and so an electronic grabber was brought in to load the bricks back on to the HGV causing disruption to traffic in the area until the lorry left the scene around two hours later.
