Residents were burgled after leaving their home for less than 90 minutes.
Sussex Police are appealing for witnesses after a family home was broken into on Tuesday May 7 in West Common, Lindfield.
The owners had left their house about 5.30pm to drop their children at an activity and returned home just before 7pm to find their children's Nintendo Wii, a Silver Macbook Pro and a large quantity of irreplaceable jewellery of great sentimental value had been stolen.
Police say they want to speak to two men who were seated on a grassy area near West Common Drive and eating burgers around the time of the burglary.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1423 of 7/5.
