My thanks go to Selma Montford (Letters, May 8) for educating me on the complicated situation surrounding the Anston House site in Brighton.
This itself raises questions over third-party ownership of the city’s derelict sites and whether this is the reason for long delays in renewal.
However, as you agreed, this site is a blot on the landscape and can be seen entering the city by road and rail.
After 25 years of non development, it does send a message to future developers.
