Time is running out for people to have their say on a bid to protect land including towns, countryside and the sea.
Brighton and Hove and Lewes Downs Biosphere Partnership is reminding the public they have until May 22 to respond to its consultation.
With more than 1,600 responses to date, those behind the bid for Unesco status are keen to hear from more people.
The area was recently extended when the Biosphere boundary was altered to include Southwick, Shoreham and land near Ringmer.
This means the proposed zone covers the whole area between the Adur and the Ouse.
Chris Todd, the chairman of the partnership, said: “The more support we get the better it will be for our bid.
“This information will then be used to bid for funding where possible to help realise local residents’ aspirations for the area.” For more details visit www.biospherehere.org.uk.
