Three men and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of the cultivation of cannabis after a drugs warrant was executed. 

Police entered a barn in Tower Street, Heathfield, and found that several rooms had been subdivided into smaller rooms which contained around 100 cannabis plants as well as cannabis buds that were in the process of drying out.

Detective Constable Richard Holder, from East Sussex CID, said: “We will always work on intelligence from the local community about the production or dealing of drugs.”

The men, aged 25, 26 and 61, and a 56-year-old woman have been released on bail until August 11 while officers carry out further enquiries.
