Regarding recent coverage about Brighton and Hove City Council offering an “Mx” option on official forms and the introduction of “gender neutral” toilet facilities, I overheard some women expressing concern about the Rottingdean toilets presently being built and how safe they might – or might not – feel while using them.
I am wondering when, inevitably, a “Ms” or “Mrs” female is sexually assaulted by a “Mr” male while both are using a gender neutral toilet facility (provided for transsexuals but presumably open to all) how much will the assaulted woman be able to sue the council for. Millions or just thousands?
