Sussex Extreme Energy Resistance (SEER) is showing films about fracking at a Hove community centre today (January 23).
The county is at the frontline of fracking, a process of using water at high pressure to extract natural gas from shale.
Concerns about the process include carginogenic chemicals into drinking water and leave areas at risk of earth tremors.
In December the Government permitted fracking in the UK.
There are 57,000 acres of Sussex under exploration and fracking is under development in Balcombe.
SEER's event starts at 7.30pm at the Cornersone Community Centre in Church Road.
