Brighton commuters are venting their anger on Twitter as gas works on the Lewes Road cause long delays.
Twitter users have complained of long delays, with some being stuck in traffic for up to 45 minutes.
Brighton lettings agent Andrew Gunner said: “Lewes Road killer jam started today. 1 mile long.”
Another user tweeted that they were moving at five metres per minute.
The congestion is down to gas work repairs around the Vogue Gyratory, which are expected to last until Friday, December 14 and cause disruption in both the North and South direction.
The 24, 25, 28, 29, 37B, 38, 49, 81A, 29B, 23, 29X, 48 and 48E have all been affected.
Brighton and Hove Buses said: “We would like to thank all passengers for bearing with us during the lengthy delays experienced along the Lewes Road this morning.”
They added that they hoped things would improve tomorrow (December 4).
