I am trying to trace the relatives of an old friend who may have died in Brighton in May 1980. His full name was Gerald (Gerry) Alwyn Cook. He was born on July 22, 1938.
I met Gerry while we were RAF medical orderlies at an airfield and hospital in Wroughton, Wiltshire.
He introduced some of us to classical music. He was such a nice person and a great colleague. Life was what you made it during National Service and we were a happy bunch.
I would like to confirm that it was indeed he, my friend, who passed away. I understand he was cremated on May 18, 1980, in Brighton, but the Co-op, which handled the funeral, cannot find any details for me.
