Audrey Sandalls Born. 19th January 1929, Departed this life on 27th April 2024. Much loved Sister, Aunt and Friend who will be greatly missed. The funeral will take place at The Downs Crematorium, on Friday 24th May 2024 at 1pm. Flowers welcome, donations if desired, direct to: Raystead Centre for Animal Welfare Newman and Stringer Funeral Directors, 3 Trafalgar Street, Brighton, BN1 4EQ.

Audrey. My mum, Kath Chambers used to talk regularly with fondness of your times together as children. In 2017 and 2019 we were fortunate to meet you at your home in Redvers Road where you had lived for all 98 years of your life. You got We sat in your lounge room and reminisced about you and mum together being evacuated from Brighton to the midlands to avoid the World War 2 bombings. Your life since then and your beloved cat all this while in your own unique way you were peering out the lounge window observing and commenting on people moving in the street.
When we returned in 2019 we met James who had befriended you and was providing care and support. You both appeared very happy.
We have heard since then Kate has also provided care and support and looking after your cat.
You were very lucky to have 2 very supportive friends.
You lived a very long, hard and prosperous life. Now is the time to rest peacefully.

Audrey Sandalls, distance may have separated us, but the love and connection we shared in our hearts will always be there. I will miss you and miss our phone calls. Love you and take care. You are now reunited with everyone you loved and now are at peace.

Dearest Audrey .. life brought you so many ups and downs, but I’m glad we got to no each other and spent many hours talking about all kinds of wonderful things, and you laughed at the most of it which was always lovely to see , I’m glad I was able to spend lots time with you and to help you best I could in your saddest times ,, you was and will always remain a very dearest friend part of my family and I’m missing you and beautiful jet ,, who I no will be right by your side now ,, so lovely lady god bless sleep peacefully we won’t forget you ,, …….
