Balint Gabor Bodroghy
BODROGHY Balint Gabor Balint passed away peacefully at home on 23rd December 2022 aged 91. He was surrounded by his daughters Julia and Meredith, son-in-law Daniel and teenaged grandchildren Oscar and Ava. From early heartbreak and upheaval in Hungary to an eventual long and contented life in Canada and Brighton: refugee, Athlone Fellow and devoted husband and father. We will love you forever. His funeral is being held on Friday 27th January at Hove Cemetery North, two sections to the left of the entrance, at 12.30pm, where he will join our mother. Can we request that no flowers be sent but that, if you wish to make one, a donation is made to his favourite charity, Hope and Homes for Children.

I only just came across Balint’s obituary, over a year after his passing. I am deeply saddened to hear this. We knew each other in London before I moved to the US and went our separate ways..
He was an exceptional person, creative writer, and very dear to me. I send my love and condolences to his family. He is in my thoughts.
