KYLE Graeme Passed away suddenly at his home in East Grinstead on 27 October, aged 55. He is pre-deceased by his mother, father and sister. He leaves behind his wife Angie, son Alasdair, and his step-children Lucy, Chris and Paul. A proud Scot, Graeme was born in Glasgow in 1967 and raised in Largs, his Scottish accent never wavering despite moving to the South East of England for work age 19. Graeme worked in the immigration service for most of his career, with periods working at the visa section in India and as an airline liaison officer for the Canadian authorities in Malaysia. He married Karen in 1990 and their son Alasdair was born in India in 1992. Graeme was promoted to the senior civil service in 2009 and among other roles, led work to create the Border Force. After leaving the Home Office, Graeme worked for Sussex Police and British Transport Police, landing his dream job as Senior Manager with PwC in 2019. He married Angie in 2010. Graeme was devoted to sports, spending many weekends either watching or attending the golf, F1 and rugby union particularly his beloved Scotland. He played golf to a very high standard, boasting a handicap of 1 earlier in his life and had recently played the main Scottish courses such as St Andrew's and Turnberry with his son. He had also coached his son's childhood rugby team, East Grinstead RFC, for several years. A dog lover, he also enjoyed travelling the world, good food and wine and live music (even attending Glastonbury on three occasions). Graeme will be remembered as charming, caring, generous and witty to his family, friends and colleagues - and simply as Grumps to his 2 year old step-grandson. The funeral will take place on 22 November at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium, at 12:30pm. Donations to Guys and St Thomas' charity in thanks for their care of Graeme.
