Hawkins Joyce Maureen "MAUREEN" A long time Science and Biology teacher at PCC died peacefully at home on Saturday 1st Oct. She was known as "Hawkeye" at school because was a strict but fair teacher. She loved her subject and really tried to pass her knowledge on with enthusiasm but didn't suffer fools gladly. She was a wonderful, loving, caring, superb and generous Aunt to Richard, Nick, Pat, Anne and Caroline, a Great Aunt to Frances, Kate, Emily, James, Harriet, Jon and Elizabeth and a Great Great Aunt to Alicia, Kai, Cole and Harper. To this day I cannot leave a table without ensuring my chair is placed back under the table, where of course it should be. “Hawkeye” was certainly unique and sometimes terrifying, however we wouldn’t be the same people without her lessons of life. Happy memories never fade.
Love 🥰
