Gwendoline Iris Biggs Passed away peacefully on 17th October 2021 in Patcham, Brighton, aged 79. Born to the late Bill & Dorothy Bailey, Gwen was mother to Alex and Anna, ex-wife to Adrian, little sister to Jean and Alan, and Granny Gwennie to Robin. She made many friends during her life in Patcham and her job at Southern Water, and was friendly, loyal and generous. Gwen enjoyed all manner of creative, active and artistic pursuits such as music, needle work, and stained glass. She loved gardening and the great outdoors. She had a flair for colour and style which she applied to all her pastimes. She was a very fine cook and host - birthday cakes and her lavish Christmas spreads the stuff of legends. All family, friends and neighbours are welcome to attend Gwen's funeral service which will be held on Monday November 8th at the Downs Crematorium Main Chapel, Bear Road, Brighton at 2.00pm. Please feel free to dress comfortably and as colourfully as you wish, as this is a celebration of Gwen's life. The service will also be streamed live. Afterwards, you are invited to the Ladies Mile Pub in Patcham for refreshments and reflections.
