ASHCROFT Derek John 20.04.1924 - 12.07.2021 Passed away peacefully aged 97. Widower of Brenda, much loved Father to David and the late Mark and Tony, Father-in-Law to Eileen. Retired Schoolmaster, formerly Head of Lower School and Deputy Head at Varndean Boys Grammar School and Dorothy Stringer School, sometime national Chairman of Scope. Fondly remembered by his many friends. Private family funeral. Donations in his memory to The Woodland Trust (https://www.woodlandtrust.org.uk/support-us/give/dedications) or via Attree and Kent, Hove.
