CHANNON Chic (Alan) After courageously fighting a terminal illness for the last 8 years, sadly Alan to family, Chic to friends, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones on 25th May 2021 aged 87 years. Much loved father of Louise, widower to the late Eileen and father to the late Christopher. Chic achieved a great deal in his life. A lover and supporter of all sports, founder and president of the Rottingdean Football Club, former Club Secretary of Brighton Squash Club, former Chairman of Grasshoppers Tennis Club and retired after 42 years as managing director of his own company. With a loving and welcoming Geordie smile, accompanied with integrity, positivity, loyalty, generosity, honour and humour, community spirit was at the heart of all he endeavoured. A ceremony to celebrate Chic's life will be held at Woodvale Crematorium North Chapel, Brighton on Friday 25th June, by invitation only.
