SCROGGINS Ronald Victor William Ron passed away on 4th May 2021, aged 76 years. Lovely Uncle to Julie and Brother-in-Law to Brenda. Ron will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Funeral in Mansfield, Notts. If desired, donations for Dementia UK at dementiauk.org

Thank you for replying so promptly. I am so sorry to hear that Ron spent his last few years in a nursing home. My father had vascular dementia so I know exactly how the situation must have been. I assume the nursing home was fairly close to where you live and you must have visited him frequently. Thank you once again for supplying the information.

Ron had vascular dementia and sadly passed away in a really good carehome which he had been in for approx 15 months and prior to that he was in another care home for about 2 years. Yes, he was quiet, kind and very caring with a great sense of humour.

very sad news - I was good friends with Ron whilst at school and in subsequent years. Inevitably I lost touch with him but did see him on occasions while shopping in Worthing. Can you please tell me the cause of his passing, I would really like to know. Ron was always a very quiet person but had a wicked sense of humour -I'm sure he will be sadly missed. From David Hobden.
