Worthing youngsters are joining top young dancers in a production of one of the world’s best-loved ballets.
A total of 85 Worthing dancers aged between eight and 18 have been rehearsing during the Easter holidays to dance Tchaikovsky’s classic tale with the English Youth Ballet.
The performance will feature guest star Oliver Speers of the Ballet Nacional de Classico de L’espana as The Prince, with Julianne Rice-Oxley taking the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy.
“It is hard work for all the company but the children get a tremendous feeling of achievement from the experience,” says Bridget Hearne of English Youth Ballet. “It is a once in a lifetime experience.”
