Being at school is hard enough, but when your father is also the headteacher it adds a whole lot more pressure. Perhaps enough to even turn you into a stand-up comedian.
The Headmaster’s Son sees Richard Herring, one-half of mid-1990s cult favourites Lee And Herring, examine his early years, reading extracts from his diaries and even having onstage arguments with his younger self.
The show was a hit at the Edinburgh Fringe and played to a packed house at last year’s Paramount Comedy Festival.
With the new festival season looming, this could be the last chance to see a bit of confessional comedy gold.
