The perennially popular Lucy Porter - a name rarely mentioned without the addition of one superlative or other - adds to her Brighton portfolio with this night at the Duke of York's.
Articulate, twisted and charming, Porter has done wonders for the sometimes patchy world of female comedians, proving it is possible to be funny without being aggressive and shockingly crude without being entirely offensive. "Rather like watching a Blue Peter presenter in a porn marathon", as one reviewer put it.
The event is compered by self-proclaimed "prankmaster" Carl Donnelly - a comedian who's not afraid to be petty and childish - and Arnab Chanda, Best Newcomer nominee in comedy website Chortle's 2007 awards and 2006 Jongleurs New Act Competitions winner.
- Starts 9pm, tickets cost £9/£8. Call 0871 7042056
