Rob Deering - "not so much a know-it-all as a nearly-knew-it-once"- heads up the bill at this weekend's Krater.
Last spotted touring his air-guitaring spectacular Charmageddon, in which he gave songs like Sex Machine and Good Vibrations a cheesy Deering makeover, he has been performing stand-up since 2000 and his three solo Edinburgh shows all sold out.
But he is most proud of his knack for quizzes.
First appearing on TV quiz show Crack It aged 12, he won last year's all-comedian edition of BBC 1's Weakest Link and makes regular appearances at his local pub quiz.
With his imitable cheesy egoism and warmth, fellow comic Stewart Lee said of him: "In a parallel world Rob Deering is the king of Saturday night television."
He is joined by the surreal George Egg and circuit favourite Simon Evans.
