Jealousy, murder, betrayal and revenge - all ingredients for the dream tabloid headline - are at the centre of Puccini's classic opera.
Opus 1 Opera are telling the story of the passionate love affair between the artist Cavaradossi and Tosca the opera singer in 19thcentury Rome - an affair which is scuppered by the jealous Baron Scarpia.
The Italian language opera follows on from the group's previous successes with La Boheme and Il Trovatore.
As well as featuring period sets and costumes, the performance features a pre-show synopsis to help newcomers follow the story.
