Manic comedian Lee Evans has just announced a work-in-progress show in Eastbourne's Congress Theatre this summer.
On Monday, July 7, Evans will be using notes to test out gags in the Carlisle Road theatre - giving a glimpse of his working processes ahead of latest tour Monsters.
The arena tour is playing for 50 nights across the UK and Ireland including seven dates at the Brighton Centre from Tuesday, August 26 to Monday, September 1.
As well as his energetic and very physical live shows, which usually see Evans ending his set drowned in sweat, the comic has also appeared in the West End starring in The Producers and The Dumb Waiter, and on the big screen in Mouse Hunt and There's Something About Mary.
Tickets for the show, which starts at 8pm, are on sale from 10am on Monday, May 19, at £32 each, with a maximum of six tickets per customer. Call 01323 412000 or visit www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk
