Led by Neil Innes and the late great Vivian Stanshall, the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band added a healthy dose of eccentric British comedy to the late 1960s.
With songs about tubas in the moonlight, urban spacemen and Ali Baba’s camel, they became a cult favourite.
Following a 40th anniversary reunion show, three of the original Bonzos have got back together with the aim of bringing some of that comic anarchy back to the stages of Britain.
Robot-maker Roger Ruskin Spear, saxophonist Rodney Slater and electric spoons-player Sam Spoons have joined forces with Brighton-based pianist Dave Glasson for a tour and a new CD, Hair Of The Dog, which is being released in February.
