After the cancellation of this weekend’s Beachdown Festival, music lovers might want to take advantage of this event – which had been billed as the free alternative.
New Road’s striking Unitarian Church has allowed the steps at the front to be used as a stage, which will host bands including headliners and festival organisers The LayLanas, a country outfit recently seen on tour with Shane McGowan, as well as Croydon Facelift and Sweet Sweet Lies. The LayLanas promise other big name guests to be announced on the day.
Proceeds from the event will go to national autism charity Tree House and the LayLanas say they hope to make it an annual occasion to raise awareness of the charity “whilst gathering all of Brighton up to enjoy some great music”.
- From 1pm-5pm, free.
