This very special V Festival warm-up show features one of the biggest bands of 2008. MGMT played their first Brighton show with promoters Lout at the Pressure Point at the beginning of last year, and apparently the band specially requested a return to the city for this one-off gig.
Ben Goldwasser and Andrew Vanwyngarden’s debut album Oracular Spectacular was home to the hit singles Time To Pretend and Kids, and was named as NME’s album of 2008. With a new album, tentatively called Congratulations, due in 2010 after a series of sessions in Malibu, fans can expect to hear some new material at this show.
