One of the UK’s greatest sax players of the past 40 years is the special guest artist at the grand launch of a new regular night devoted to jazz.
Scottish tenor saxophonist Bobby Wellins, accompanied by the Terry Seabrook Trio, will be playing a free show to give a boost to The Brunswick Jazz Club.
He first came to critical notice playing on Stan Tracey’s Under Milk Wood album in 1965, having previously played with Buddy Featherstonhaugh, Kenny Wheeler and Tony Crombie.
The launch night also features a free performance by Diego Parada’s Gypsy Jazz Duo, from 7pm.
*Starts 8pm, free. Call 01273 733984.
