With a farewell tour The Road To Hell And Back in 2006 and a well-documented battle with illness it looked like Chris Rea was about to give up the road for good and start living the quiet life.
But with the release of a new box set The Return Of The Fabulous Hofner Bluenotes and a new tour, featuring two-hour-long sets with no support, he appears to be firmly back in the driving seat after two years away.
Expect a mixture of bluesy instrumentals, new tunes and classic Chris Rea songs, from On The Beach to The Road To Hell.
