San Franciscan trio Thee More Shallows released their first album for new label Anticon on Monday.
The band, whose sound on their last record More Deep Cuts veered from Talk Talk style sparsity to Black Sabbath heavy rock riffs, are currently on a short tour of the UK to pass on the word.
Backing them up are Bloc Party and Beck re-mixers The Chap, who have been mixing rock-solid drumming with wobbly Moog synths and ferociously bowed stringed instruments to create a nu-rave style sound while it was still a glint in the NME's eye.
- Starts 7.30pm, tickets £6.50 in advance, £8 on the door. Call Rounder on 01273 325440 or Resident on 01273 606312.
