When the two-tone ska craze swept out of Coventry and across the rest of the country in the early Eighties, the bands at the forefront were The Beat and The Specials. Now members of those two influential bands have joined forces for their first full UK tour in three years.
The Beat hit the UK top ten with the hits Tears of a Clown in December 1979, closely followed by the classic Mirror in the Bathroom. Meanwhile, Neville Staples fronted The Specials, who had a string of unforgettable hits including Gangsters, Too Much Too Young and the era-defining number one Ghost Town.
