Texan indie-rockers Midlake have been compared to everyone from The Flaming Lips to Radiohead.
Originally a bunch of funk-playing jazz students, the five-piece turned indie rock when the funk wore thin creatively.
Their two albums, Bamnan and Slivercork and last year's The Trials of Van Occupanther, earned them rave reviews and a cult following.
One high-profile follower is skateboarding legend turned star of My Name is Earl, Jason Lee. The actor is so smitten with the band, he's even directed the video for their single, Balloon Maker.
- Starts 7pm. Sold out.
