Having played his first Great Escape in a pub in front of 30 people back in 2008, chart-topping rapper Example is the latest big name confirmed to play the ninth annual festival of new music.
He will headline the Thursday night slot at Brighton Dome Concert Hall. Friday night sees Wild Beasts and These New Puritans play the 1,600-capacity venue in Church Street, while Kelis, with support from Ella Eyre, is on Saturday night.
The Great Escape is taking over 35 venues around Brighton from Thursday, May 8, to Saturday, May 10.
This year sees sets from Jon Hopkins, George Ezra, Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, Doves frontman Jimi Goodwin, East India Youth, Chloe Howl, Charli XCX and Brighton's own Royal Blood.
As well as the £54 wristband for all three nights, single day and two-day tickets are now on sale starting from £25.
Tickets to see Example cost £7 on top of the wristband price or £18.50 without a wristband. Visit greatescapefestival.com or call 0870 264 3333.
