There are few suprises among the nominees for the 2013 Mercury Music Prize.
The award, won last year by relative unknowns Alt-J and first given in 1992, features debuts by Rudimental, Savages, Laura Mvula, Jake Bugg and Disclosure.
Previous nominees include Arctic Monkeys, who won it in 2006 for Whatever People I Am, That's What I'm Not, plus Foals, Laura Marling, James Blake, Jon Hopkins and Villagers.
David Bowie is on the list for his 24th studio album, The Next Day.
The winner will be announced on October 30.
