Last night saw the VIP launch of Hove’s newest nightspot for 25 to 35-year-olds. “Sitting down is the new dancing” is the mantra of Religion, with resident DJ Mikee Hollywood spinning mainstream pop aimed at having everyone recognise every song in a relaxed bar atmosphere.

Todd Edwards is that rare breed of American DJ who understands UK garage and is a respected composer in the genre. He’s also worked with Daft Punk, producing their Billboard Club Chart-topping hit Face To Face in 2004. More recently Edwards co-wrote and provided vocals on Fragments Of Time from the French Duo’s heralded 2013 return, Random Access Memories.

Local promoters DPM are celebrating the last bank holiday of the summer with an afternoon terrace party featuring VIP hot tubs that rolls on late into Sunday night.
Providing the soundtrack is a whole host of DJs over two rooms. Most notable are Pura’s Leeds-based producer/DJ Josh Butler and LA’s Kerri Chandler-influenced house DJ Urulu.
