Jungle, one word, is the name as ambiguous as they duo who shroud themselves inside it. Even on stage they hide in plain sight as part of a seven-piece live band playing some of the most extraordinary pop music to come out in recent years.

It’s most likely they are the top lead vocalists, providing the soulful falsetto harmonies over the big beat sound emanating from the band of musicians behind them, all dripping with laidback confidence.

Their sleek and soulful set is short but staggering, they have transferred from the heat of the blog pages from which they emanated seemingly full formed and ready to groove, albeit with a set list that encompasses the five songs on the band’s soundcloud page.

If their soon to be released debut album is able to deliver on the consistent quality of this early material it sure to go down as one of the album’s of the year. It seems no expense has been spared to allow tracks like The Heat, Busy Earnin’, Drops, Platoon and Lucky I Got What I Want to realise the full potential of the recorded efforts.

Big bass accompanies backing singers, an expansive percussion unit, rhythm section as well as a compliment of samples to faithfully and wonderfully provide the full Jungle experience.
